Media Badge
The SVP Media Badge is available to approved media, content creators, journalists, podcasters,
streamers, and community partners who wish to cover the convention. Media badges are limited and
granted based on relevance, audience reach, and alignment with SVP’s mission.
Application Timeline
- Submission Deadline: Media Badge applications close on January 6, 2027.
- Applications received after this date may not be considered.
- Approval Window: All approvals will be sent out by February 2027.

What the Media Badge Includes
- Full access to the convention for all three days
- Permission to film, photograph, and record interviews (within standard attendee guidelines)
- Access to designated media areas
- Priority access to select demos or interview opportunities (subject to availability)
- Optional listing as attending media on the SVP website or program
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Active content creator producing regular board‑game‑related content
- Journalist or writer covering tabletop gaming, events, or pop culture
- Podcaster, streamer, or YouTuber with relevant programming
- Representative of a gaming‑related publication, blog, or organization
- Community partner supporting tabletop gaming initiatives
Media Badge Expectations
Approved media agree to:
- Follow all SVP policies and respect attendee privacy
- Avoid disrupting gameplay or scheduled events
- Identify themselves as media when recording
- Provide coverage of SVP (pre‑event, during, or post‑event)
- Share links to published coverage after the event
Application Process
- Complete the Media Badge Application Form
- SVP reviews all submissions after January 6, 2027
- Approvals and confirmations are sent out by February 2027
